VICTORIAVILLE, Que. -- The Victoriaville Tigres have fired head coach Yanick Jean. The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League club announced the move Monday on the teams website. The Tigres have scheduled a news conference for Tuesday with general manager Jerome Mesonero. The Tigres made the post-season with a record of 33-27-5, but lost their first-round series to Drummondville in five games. Jean, a 38-year-old from Alma, Que., was named head coach of the team on Feb. 2, 2008. Victoriavilles record with Jean behind the bench was 229 wins and 196 losses.
